2004 Shelbourne Honda

For sale

2004 Shelbourne with latest CBR600RR engine.

The chassis was built for the late great Steve Norbury who got 6 TT podiums on it in 2004, 2005 and 2006, with a fastest lap of something like 111mph.
Steve then sold it to Steve Carey who raced it for a couple of years at club/fsra level before storing it from around 2009 due to injury. I think he may have won the FSRA cup?

I bought it in May 2015 and did about 8 meetings on it before changing the engines from the carbed R6 to the latest CBR injection engines to comply with the TT regs. Rod Bellas did the engine swap to his usual very high standard.
Although the bike is 12 years old, its actually only been raced for 6 years or so. It really is in brilliant condition and ready to race.

The sale includes the following.
1 set of wheels with discs and new bearings. Slick front and chair done the TT. Slick rear done just Southern 100.
1 set of wheels with discs and new bearings. full wets done about 3 very wet races so in good condition.

engine number 1. This is in the bike. These are the latest engines and are 2007 onwards. I’m not exactly sure what year these are but both have full engine numbers.
Built by Garry Bryan. This is standard apart from a slight head skim. This has done 1 lap of TT and then the southern 100 and Scarborough. I’ve not had this one on the dyno but it’s faster than engine 2. Cut down sump and baffles/pick ups modified. Will have new oil and filter.

engine number 2.
Built by Garry Bryan. Totally standard. This has done a couple of club meetings and practice at the TT. This was 114.8 bhp I think (i have a printout somewhere) on Dynobike dyno. Cut down sump and baffles/pick ups modified.

HRC kit loom
HRC ECU.
HRC bell mouths. Like hens teeth and cost me a bom.

Swirl pot with Honda injection pump and fed by Lockside Engineering pump with return to main tank.

Zorstech stainless exhaust with Micron carbon end can.

Brand new battery.

Fully refreshed Maxton units front and rear done just before the TT.

Mocal oil cooler fed via goodridge hoses and fittings.

Nearly new chain.

Various front and rear sprockets. All either nearly new or in good condition.

New head, rear wheel and chair wheel bearings just before the TT.

Brand new never fitted seat unit.

Spare fairing (one of Conrads old ones).

All callipers were recently refreshed with new seals all around. New fluid in at the Southern 100.
New Ferodo pads in front this weekend.

I’ve spent a fortune on the bike this year and it will break my heart to see it go. It really is a brilliant bike to ride and is ready to race. Just add petrol.

Unfortunately I need the cash to finance my grown up life so the toys have to go for now. :(

£14000.00 or near offers.
PM me for more details or to arrange a viewing.
The bike is located in Knaresborough North Yorkshire.
I can ship abroad at the buyers expense but the bike and shipping would have to be paid in advance.

cheers.

John Chandler.
