I have some more of a later version from Paul Gravenell, I just need to resize them blah blah you're not listening..

There have been a few previous Unorfordox discussions on here, this one has the most , but most photos now missing , but yes, the first one was white

Yes, Ford Cosworth Paul.
I mentioned in Ronno's post that to my memory the first MK1 Unorfordox ran a 4 cylinder Cosworth engine but the MK2 ran a cut down Cosworth engine, cut down to 2 cylinders???????? Possibly to meet the 1300cc limit?????
I may be totally confused, need someone like Bob B to give us his recollections.

Think the two cylinder Cosworth motor was used by Gordon Nottingham Ian. I didnt ever hear the second Unorfadox so that may have been the same.

I have been in a lot of the same races as the ford but never ever seen a twin cosworth ford in one and I only remember a lot effort for little reward. I think he only ever finished one race which was at Lydden for which he was awarded a finishers cup for perseverance.

Hi, how's things Ian, I was at Oulton park when I saw this unit and looking at the pictures it looks like a twin overhead cam suggesting it was a Cosworth unit, but in the real I only saw it a couple of times and I am sure somebody I was talking to at the outfit said it was a Cosworth unit ,but I am not 100% Hi Geoff, I only saw the outfit a couple of times in its John Player livery, hope you are well.

I only saw the first one at Croft in 1969 Paul. It made a lot of noise but not much else. Gordon Nottingham used a twin cylinder section of a Ford BDA motor . I saw it at Silloth in about 73. It was about on par with Colin Rispins BSA outfit. Until Colin turned it over at Hanger on the last lap .

That would explain the cam drives then Geoff,but its that long ago I cant remember as to whether it was a twin or a four, cheers Geoff

The very top photo is not a Cosworth engine, it's a pushrod crossflow Ford engine.....#31 is a twin cam Ford engine....the bottom photo has both inlet and exhaust on same side and looks like the engine is leaning towards the driver, it also looks like it could be single overhead cam and not a Ford engine....
