You will notice the entry form merely lists "Sidecar Open". Please state your machine details and class either on the form, or add an additional note. Entries will be sorted appropriately, depending on numbers received. Please try to submit your entry as early as possible in order that the club can plan the programme and number of sidecar grids with the varying classes.

Quick reminder - please submit entries for this event a.s.a.p. (the meeting is only four weeks away now). It is important that entries are sent in good time so that suitable splits of machinery can be organised. This can only be done if enough entries are received BEFORE the closing date (07/10/16 - next Friday). Last year, there were two open (F1/F2) finals (A&B), plus a mixed grid of classic/vintage/"r.w.y.b.". However, there is scope to further divide the grids (particularly for the older machinery) if a viable number of entries are received.

Entries close this week - please send completed forms to the return address on the entry form today, or contact the office on 01723 373000 to make arrangements. Sidecar entries are looking good across the classes, but with a very poor uptake on the solo side of the event, the club needs a significant number of further entries by the closing date (this Friday) in order to make this a viable meeting.

I'm doing my bit!

One driver is sending his entry in today and my other driver will be doing it by the end of the week!

The Auto 66 Club's Cadwell Park "Bonanza and Sidecar Bash" has seen a flurry of entries in the last few days, and the grids are filling up well - however, there is still room for more in all classes of sidecar, and also solos. In light of this, it has been decided to postpone the closing date for entries until next Wednesday (12th October).

There will be copies of the entry form available at the Ian Bell Memorial meeting at East Fortune this weekend (from sidecar #2 - Team A.R.C.) and also at the Bemsee Brands Hatch event (from sidecar #34 - Team Christie). Otherwise, please download a copy from: http://auto66.com/wp-content/uploads/20 ... 016-EF.pdf - or contact Charlie in the office (09.30 - 16.30) to make arrangements.

Entry numbers are almost certain to eclipse those of the previous two years, and this looks set to be the biggest gathering of racing sidecars anywhere in the world this year.

In terms of tracktime, there will be timed practice / qualifying for all classes on Saturday, with an untimed warmup on Sunday morning. F1 / F2 / Open outfits will be split into finals dependent on their speeds and all competitors will have two eight lap races each day. Classic/Vintage etc will have three five lap races each day. In addition, the fastest 24 machines across all classes will be invited into a ten lap feature race on Sunday afternoon, invitees will be from the fastest laptimes over the event, not just in Saturday qualifying.

There will be a full timetable made available, along with a preview of the event next weekend.

Entries officially close tomorrow - so please send them this evening, or contact the office by telephone tomorrow morning.

I will no doubt find myself in the commentary box at some point!

Entry List (Posted in the public domain by Cadwell Park this morning). Not quite the most up to date version, another couple of F2's and an F1 have entered more recently, I believe.
