Chas Greatrex article from pixie Pete

Unread post by steve-e »

Pete sent me this for us to have a look at. I love this and do wonder if this is the fairing that we had on one of dad's bikes. It came in red and white with Chas Greatrex signwriting all over it from around 1981.

Looking back to my costings in 2010 ( F1 LCR club racing ) probably around the same price. But i did'nt fall into the trap of paying silly money for 'team' clothing like some do, or it would have been more.

I once did a calculation of our running costs in 1990 with our TZ350 Shelbourne.
Total spent over the season on all racing expenses (direct machinery costs, transport, fuel, entry fees, catering etc.) divided by the total amount of track mileage (practice and race).
The figure came out at £8.88 per mile on the track.
