Mick Staiano raced a Laverda Jota outfit for some time, Mal White raced it at the Southern 100 for Mick one year.
I think Mike bought it from Bob Philpot, Mike said he developed huge arm muscles riding that bike, as it was so heavy to steer

Not as heavy as my Bill Cooper wobbly wheel outfit I bought off Chas Greatrix. It got realy heavy after we put Z1000 motor in it. Thats what I made my Southern debut on in 79. Didnt put me off though . Perhaps it should have though  . Got to add I love the place, best thing I have done ,apart from the hospital bits :D .

John Boswell raced a Laverda in the late 70's, don't know what chassis he used.

Shame to see Tony's outfit in such a state. I remember when it was a thing of beauty.
Richard 'Dick' Adams used to race a Laverda outfit in the late 70's early 80's.

That's right Tony, when Tony Howard built it & raced it, it was immaculate.
