Can't sign out !

It's not letting me sign out WHY ?

it won't let me either, hasn't for a while. It keeps coming up with an openauth bug which is awkward as we don't use openauth any more - hence I'm struggling to fix it. Bear with me though, I have an idea!

Why would you want to sign out?

to log someone else in on the same pc.. I need to now and then to check my other account (an old admin one that doesn't have all permissions).

It's a bit of a pain, all the software is a bit messy right now but I'm nearly there. I've got it all downloaded to update and I know how to install clean rather than include the bits I've adapted over the years to get it tidy again

I have found that if you log out, a page of gobbledygook is shown (Steve probably understands it, he is weird like that ) but if you then log out again it does actually log you out

I haven't touched anything on my laptop for nearly two weeks now, had a week away and then some night shifts so have got soooo much to catch up on.

This having a real job malarkey really interferes with running a site, to the point of being almost impossible if it weren't for the help of Mark, Tim and Terry.

Maybe the ACU and FSRA are ganging up on you Ian, hacked your computer and now got control of it . Next thing we will be seeing is a post from 'you' praising their efforts and organisation

What I didn't make clear in my first post was that when you get the page of rubbish you then have to hit the back button, then log out again. If that is what you have done and it didn't work..............I haven't got a broodily clue what you do, except wait for Steve to fix it

Tried that Dan, going to go on my daughters laptop & sign in then try & sign out, see if that makes a difference.

If you need to you could delete the cookies that keep you logged in.. depending on what browser you're using the method changes but they're not usually that complicated.

I will get the site sorted soon, this is the first time in 10 days I've been on a laptop that can even get on the site, at work the front of the site is banned for being a social network (but the forum isnt?) and of course I don't have access to ftp and all the other good bits at work anyway.

I'm catching up a bit tonight, loads yet to do !

18 years now it started in 1999.. how weird is that? didn't really get very sidecar til about 2002 so you're close

I'd forgotten what it was like to sit at home and type as a hobby now that I do it as a job. I have to say, it pays less haha
