CBR 600 Ignition issue?

Unread post by duncan »

We're dynoing a CBR600 & the pipes are glowing red. It's also down a bit on power/torque than we expected. Checking over stuff I noticed the knock sensor is there but no plug for it. Does the ECU back the timing off if there is no sensor found? Tried 2 different ECU's & slight difference only.

If it is a kit ecu, the knock sensor isn't used.
Can you read the ecu to alter the fuelling?

It's actually running a bit rich & we're a bit hesitant to lean it off.
