Observations from 2018…..

With a 9 or 10 round programme it seems that most riders don't go to every event – so we’ve replanned accordingly for 2019.

With the glorious weather we had in 2018 many riders found pressure from family to go on holiday during August so we've made some changes to the 2019 schedule that allows for a period of time after Cadwell on the first weekend of August for holidays to be taken and we resume mid-September now at Snetterton. Helps your finances, gives you time to fix the bike?

This is an improvement on the initial dates we published and we've negotiated to take an additional Cadwell round early August as well as a repeat of the successful Sidecar Revival meeting also at Cadwell June 22-23 (this will feature some Bemsee content as full Championship scoring rounds)

We will therefore reduce the overall number of rounds to 9 some classes will run 8 of those - we will publish The Matrix in due course.

The difficulties that the Silverstone circuit have had with regard to International Circuit after MotoGP have also caused us some challenges with regard to planning for 2019.

We’ve also looked at considering other circuits that come up in conversation that the Board don't feel would be attractive for a range of reasons, mainly distance, so places like Anglesey, Croft, Knockhill and indeed Croix all fall into that category. The availability of dates at Thruxton and Castle Combe was also investigated - there is no availability for 2019. On balance we think the schedule for next season is a good one, it has taken MD longer than usual to negotiate and set up but he's managed to ensure that there is at least three weeks between meetings and that is very important these days when considering what riders are able to afford. He's also been able to agree with MSV to end our 2019 season at Brands which always is a great finale for the Club.

So the 2019 programme concentrates on all our favourite circuits for our 110th year and we trust you'll find it a good plan.
