Just heard that Nigel Rollason passed away suddenly on 5th February.
A great all rounder, talented engineer and (I believe) the only man to win on 2 and 3 wheels in the Isle of Man.
I had the honour of knowing Nigel as a fellow Kings Norton MCC member and it was through him that I became interested in sidecar racing.
A couple of us club members would go along to Mallory to help Nigel out as 'gophers' in the early 1970s. I well remember some of the wild rides back in his Thames van which he'd converted to a Ford Zephyr 6 motor running on triple Amal Concentrics!
Funnily enough we ended up living not too far from each other in Devon - a long way from Brum.
A sad day. RIP.

Re: Nigel Rollason
Very sad news. I was only chatting to Nigel the week before on FB.
