Hi, I’m Liz,

I’ve got my CTC booked at Brands on 29th August and then will have membership with Bemsee.

I’m 32, 5’8” and weigh around nine stone. I’m based on the south east coast in East Sussex but am willing to travel and happy to contribute towards costs.

I’m a biker, so have all the kit and six years’ experience riding. I currently own two bikes: a Fazer 600 and a GSX-R1000, so I’m not adverse to speed All I need now is my race licence and then I’m good to go!

Other than that, I’m a regular TT goer (spectator only, so far...), and am hoping to get to Cadwell this weekend for the sidecar revival.

If anyone is in need of a passenger in the later half of the year and into 2020, then please get in touch! Am desperate to have a go!

PS. Can anyone tell me how to go about getting a taxi ride booked?

Hi Liz and welcome !
It seems that for the Cadwell revival taxi rides , they needed to be booked in advance , and are now full , according to the Bemsee site ..

In previous seasons , the Donington CRMC August meeting has had taxi rides , and last year the Brands October Bemsee meeting also had taxi rides , so worth looking out for those.

No, you don't need a licence for a taxi ride.

Bemsee might offer taxi rides again at their Brands October meeting - keep an eye on here and ask at Cadwell this weekend if you're going.

I’ve emailed Bemsee asking if there will be any taxi rides at Brands coming up soon - am hoping to get booked onto one of those ASAP. Are you determined to ride Bemsee only, or does a front exit classic sidecar hold any interest for you? (CRMC, BHR, Belgium etc...)

Hi, sorry for late reply, I got the CTC back in August but unfortunately haven’t managed to get even a taxi ride yet... Still very keen to get going and am hoping 2020 brings something good.

I don’t have a preference to ride only Bemsee - am quite happy to ride with any club, anything from classics to F1. Am just keen to get some experience at this point.

Thanks for the message. I got the CTC back in August but unfortunately it’s been pretty quiet since then. I went to a Bemsee meet at Brands in October but they weren’t doing taxi rides. So no experience as yet but still very keen to get going and am hoping 2020 will bring something good. I will have my licence as of the 1st of January.

Thank you for your reply. Really sorry but I now have secured passenger for 2020, ad a lady in Belgium for my overseas adventures!

I do hope you will progress next year with a permanent ride - Lord knows there are many of us who seek co-pilots!
