Statement of Tim Reeves:
“Having arrived in Hungary, I had an issue with the water system on the bike and we wrecked all of the Bonovo engines basically, the last one being in Warm Up this morning. Then we found the problem and unfortunately, all I had with me was an engine I bought on ebay, which I carry just as an emergency engine. So, we threw that in for the race, had a really good fight and we won the race. But afterwards in technical inspection it was found that one of the camshafts was not homologated for the engine. They didn’t say we were cheating, they just said we have been unlucky that I bought this engine from ebay. They have to disqualify us. I got it and it was a genuine mistake, but they have to stand by the rules. We have been just unlucky.”

Also mussten sie uns disqualifizieren.
