It’s with a heavy heart I announce the passing of my racing hero and also my Grandad Brian Rostron
It is safe to say he lived an awesome life from helping guide the family business to successfully build 500+ houses in Formby to racing the Isle of Man TT for 27 years.
This life also included playing football and later refereeing to a high standard which led to a 25 year honorary award from the Referee’s Association. He also fancied himself as a bit of snooker player!
But his greatest love was the Isle of Man TT where he first visited when he was 18 years old. He soon got the bug and decided to have a go himself achieving 30 finishes which included 2 Bronze replicas. After his TT career ended, he still kept heavily involved helping out many people achieve their TT dreams
I was blessed to spend 30 years of my life with you Papa Brian and without you there would definitely be no love for motorbikes and Sidecars!! So I will forever be grateful.
Save me a space on your Sidecar up there!
