GSX
yes remember the outfit, we raced against it at the southern, was red if i remember right, will look the progamme out for his name.
RP
yes, it covers 99% of outfits, but i think thats the plan to get as many there as possible. Tony was well chuffed to get out that weekend, had a natter with him on saturday, great to ride the full circuit again, just a shame about the stupid chicane before the mountain. Great weekend tho, will be back next year.

I think a guy on the Wirral eventually bought the CBX outfit from Bill, used to race it quite a bit at Aintree.

Only because he wasn't so keen on the passengering on the Friday. After Derek Plummer blew his BMW up Eddie Kiff passengered for the second session. On Saturday Graham Milton's son-in-law Martin Allen passengered both Tony and George.

Yes, we bought Johns CBX outfit and raced it for two seasons in the early 80`s, got me hooked on the big sixes. The outfit i was riding at the Beezumph used to be Brian Tomlins honda 6 outfit, i have just finished re-building it, that was its second outing, Mallory 1000 bikes was the first time i had ridden it, and thats true, as in true sidecar style it was not finished till 2 hrs before we loaded up to go !

did Gordon Shand, think that is his name, race a honda 6 outfit at the southern in 86?

i remember him being behind us and it growling, the bike not Gordon.
The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight.

But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upwards in the night.

illi wrote:I take it that was your MotoMartin parked with the outfit, then. I was the guy that spoke to you on the Sat. about the Six and ouitfits in general. Didn`t you say the chassis origionally housed an Imp engine? Did your son enjoy his 1st experience of passengering!? Is he now hooked, or relieved it`s all over?!!
Hi there, yes both the Moto-Martins parked near the outfit were mine. When Brian Tomlins had it before the CBX was fitted it did have an imp engine in it. First time my son had been at Cadwell, problem with sticking throttle on first run, and lost him out at the bottom of the mountain !, but he got back on and did the other 3 sessions and is now definately hooked on it. Passed your regards on to Geoff the other night when i saw him also.
