The bike looks no worse than when Chris Fenton restored it in the 70's, amazing what a weekends worth of spit and polish will do, get it resprayed in Dads colours, motor checked over and i would even suggest a run down to Mike Richards for a chassic check. Get your entry in quick and the old man will be heading down BrayHill in June for the parade lap again. I agree with the positive comments, its the old mans bike and you will always regret letting it go.

We need to be careful we don't force Rob and Andy to bring out the BM. The depth and quality in the CRMC sidecar grid over the last few years has increased dramatically and Rob and Andy, it has to be said, have spent these last years plodding through the mud on their old Ariel trials outfit!!

Will Rob feel safe cracking the throttle to above 5 mph and I don't want to get to the bottom of the mountain at Cadwell to discover Rob and Andy walking up the hill deciding which line would be best!!

well ,he is holding it for us and i think dad is arranging to send a deposit up to him so it look like we are buying it , it has caused a lot of problems and tears ,i hope we are doing the right thing as it is a lot of money, plus dad cant even get on it as he has broken his legs so many times so look like we will restore it back to exactly how he had it even down to the champion stickers on the fairing, and then i suppose i had better learn and try and ride it, i was a motocross rider and kneeling on this sidecar seem very strange, how hard can it be ??????? i will post on here when we get it, thanks for all your comments some of them are what made us buy it.
ps he still has the original helmets googles and leather that he rode the bike with ,and trophys , so if i rode it we could look very authentique

Great stuff! I am so glad you have done it. You have certainly done the right thing. Remember it is always better to regret something you have done than live a life of what ifs!
