Hello folks.

Just an update. We have a small problem due to a slight
lack of liasing between us.
We will present an update shortly to prevent any missunderstanding.

Two points I can confirm.

The noise limit is 105 dc generally but Assen may be more restricted. I raced
modern there until recently and they have a noise meter on the start and
finish straight connected to the local police station. We will ask Anja to verify
the situation for us.

We ask the 750 class to run red plates with white numbers to give spectators
the chance to see how well the riders in this class are doing against the big bikes.
We are following the UK Classic Club in this move.

There have been rumours of a conflict between us and the CRMC.
Nothing could be further from the truth. UK classic sidecar racing has thrived
under Ian Johnson recently and we look forward to co operating with him in the future.

Thanks Folks

Dick

CONFLICT

1. A state of open, often prolonged fighting; a battle or war.
2. A state of disharmony between incompatible or antithetical persons, ideas, or interests; a clash.
3. Psychology A psychic struggle, often unconscious, resulting from the opposition or simultaneous functioning of mutually exclusive impulses, desires, or tendencies.
4. Opposition between characters or forces in a work of drama or fiction, especially opposition that motivates or shapes the action of the plot.

Hope this helps Eddy. :D

Hi Eddy I said rumours.....explain to us Tel....your the one
who got the dictionary for Christmas. :notworthy:

Other rumours............ "Terry or Perky for 750 champ"
"Dave Johnson Des or Mike Bellaby and Karl for best Gristwood crew"
:trophy:

Speaking of the Gristwood team, We all wish Simon and Dave a safe and successful
debut at the TT,and will avidly follow their progress on Monas Isle.
I remember going down Bray Hill with "young" Jimmy Mann in 1966 it was a
fantastic experience.
It was still pretty good 40 TT.s later :run:

Sussed me Dick, as if I would be capable of writing big words like that, what do you think I am, some sort of intellectual mastermind, I'm just a numb nuts who hangs on to the handlebars.

I gave up trying to be clever ages ago after I was told " No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery" still don't get it! :?

Well we've got our entry sent off for the first round in Croix. Not been there before but it looks okay on the satellite image, and the next round will be at the Pre TT classic. So that'll be 3 races over the weekend followed by 2 weeks helping Simon in the TT. It does mean that we will miss the next round at Oulton and also the one at Assen as it clashes with a CRMC round at Pembrey, not sure which one I'd prefer to go to!!
Only been to the Castletown circuit once before in 1996 to race with Tom but all I can remember is the time we spent in the pub.. I think Bludge was riding in the main TT as well and we popped down to Quarterbridge to watch one of the practice sessions and very impressed we were too.

Croix looks good and a number of teams that I know love the place. Tip - get into the inner paddock over the little bridge, facilities are better there ;-)

Hi Mike..a little bird told me you led the race in 1996 so you must be one of the favourites for this year.
There are three races at Castletown, the six lapper on Monday morning being the Camathias Cup one.
Ben tells me you are one of the registered UK crews. The grid is 95% full so anyone who has not registered
by now has probably missed out. ["you have to pay to be registered"]

Assen clashes with a Classic Club round, which we much regret.
Please bring and display your national flag if possible.

We have been sorted in our plans for some time, but some organisers have been slow to finalize.
We appologise sincerely, and will update you immediately more info is available.

Remember "The Sport" should be the winner

Will the Cup only be on individual base or will there also be a points scheme for countries?
In other words a bit like the Anglo-American match races or what they do over with the classics in NZ - match races between AUS, NZ and GB.
If so, what are the exact regulations and how is the point scoring scheme layed out?
Cheers, John

Hi John.
This is our first year, and there may be many things which we could do better
in future Any "constructive critisism" and ideas are very welcome.
Perhaps you will be available for a chat at Assen or if not I visit Holland on business
and would love to meet for a chat sometime.
You are showing your age mentioning the Match Races, they were brilliant.
I well remember Cal Rayborn on his Harley...what a sound...what a rider.
Cheers

Will the German and French guys who left messages on my answerphone regarding registration
please wait a day or so when an announcement will be made. There has been some delay in our
intended blog. Due to a team sponsorship issue we cannot accept any registration from riders from
another country. Should any crew register in the wrong country then the form and fee will be
transfered to the correct delegate.
We already have wild card entries from Italy,Switzerland and others [its looking good]
The Pre TT event is already full up, but as you probably know therE are two other sidecar races there.
