I THINK the first three all went under the Classic lap record, which as far I can see was set by Perkins/Detournay in 2012 with 1.25,1

If a bike/engine was used and raced in the era then it should be allowed in the club. Not some person (s) decide "well we cap the honda even though it was used in the era" I can't see the logic in this can you not see where I'm coming from?? I will most probably be on a BMW next year anyhow but I feel this rule needs attention. Am I right in saying the solo's are allowed to run the big honda engines up to 1300????

Why Sean? Because you MUST win bar none? wouldn't it than be better to move to F2 or F1...?

No not at all Richard I have had only one win this year and did not expect to get that considering I have not raced for 9 years I was just hoping to finish in top 5! It's not all about winning i jusy enjoy riding classic outfits they ard fantastic to ride, and I can see this is not going anywhere so I'm sorry steve for causing grief on your lovely site I did not realise how much of a sore subject it was!

It's not a sore subject on here - it's doing our page hits wonders

The CRMC the same as other clubs with older machines have variables to balance, and filling the grid is an important one, racing old bikes is always going to cause grief unless you have a class for every year and insist that each one is exactly as it was raced that year, which now would mean full of rust on the inside, using 30 maybe 40 year old spark plugs and God forbid, still running on points or magnetos.
It's up to the clever people to find the happy medium (does anyone remember Doris Stokes? She was a happy medium) and keep enough bikes on the grid for what it costs per minute to hire the circuit, and for people to have others to race against and enjoy themselves in safety..
I'll stop before I start rambling

If you think that was a lot of typing for no substance, it was deliberate

I'm not getting involved

absolutely nothing wrong with magnetos and the points inside, I'm running one no problems whats so ever.
It seems to me a one of biggest causes of breakdowns/DNF's within the Classics are fuel pumps..

In contradiction! You run a fantastic website and it´s about time you get into the Classic Sidecar scene...
