Found this, some classic old film. But when in the paddock, you can see some sidecars.....

The E- type was years ahead of it's time. You could buy one for £2000 in 1964. I was lucky enough to be apprenticed at a Jag main dealer. Got to drive several.

Well I didn't realise that they had cameras that you could get that close to a rider in those days. So some of it I am not sure is legit as such. Perhaps someone on here knows better though.

Brilliant stuff.
"when you crash on a bike you just slide along and take some skin off. In a car you're stuck, it takes 2 minutes to get in the thing how are you going to get out?"

I think times have changed

He did add unless you hit something fast, which maybe is where things have changed?
And I don't agree now with 'bikes aren't meant to slide', maybe back then but if you don't slide a bigger bike nowadays you'll not even qualify

Not many steve. Look at tyres alone. They are now huge and sticky too!

I just liked seeing the mega protective clothing paper thin black leathers with no padding & an open faced helmet with goggles and no gloves 8)
