Ok spoke to the ACU today.
Under no circumstances can anyone who hasnt held their national for year race there. There is apparently no movement on this..

For years people have been racing in France and Belguim with one day licence's and know this has put the end to it for everyone who hasnt got a national licence. Which will be alot of people..

Would be interesting to know just how many have perminant Dutch, French or Belgium licences ?
A good few years ago now there were a lot who raced continental grasstrack on Dutch Licences, Is this still possible now? There must be some way round it all.
A load of cobblers,I`ve been using an international licence for years issued by another federation,on the top it says FIM/EUM,we are in Europe and there is sod all the ACU can do about it,with regard to Chimay,you phone/fax/e mail the ACU ask for a dispensation and apply for a one event licence cost, 50 euro`s this even covers the repatriation insurance,the ACU can`t refuse a dispensation.
I wont say on here what licence I have untill I am sure of the people who want one,however it only covers "classic" racing,
Sorry,I`m getting dafter as I get older,you only need a dispensation if you want a licence issued by another federation,for a one event licence you dont even need that just send the regs to Chimay and tell `em you want a one eventer and pick it up on the day
Are they saying you have to have had a national for a year before you can get an international of any sort?

The licence of your national federation for classic bike + start permission of that federation.
ATTENTION: In Belgium it is possible for a foreign rider to participate in a Moto Classic
meeting with a one event licence. The licence coast is 55 euros including insurance for repatriation.
To get this licence the rider will submit a medical certificate delivered by a doctor approved by the
motorcycle federation of the rider’s country

As far as i know , u just need a letter from your doctor saying taht your are fit and healthy.

In Holland we have got approved sport medical centers where you go to get yourself checked over and get a medical attest.
I assume in the UK you have the same, just ask someone in your region who has a ACU licence by which doctor/center they get themselfs checked.
Ok. Apparently ACU got confused as it is not an FIM event you do have to hold your national but not for a year. If you dont have a national or wont by the time Chimay comes round, getting a Belgium licence seems the thing to do

Reference medicals for licences,I take a copy of a medical form supplied by the Federation who gives us a licence,to my doctor who goes through it takes about 10mins,plus time to pee in a bottle,signs the bottom,stamps it takes my £35 and off I go to fight another day,if I have a copy and can find someone to help me scan it in I`ll put it on here.(I am computer ILLITERATE) and drive a sidecar does one have a bearing on the other?
Bit more strick to get a licence these days back in the early 80's when I went for a medical for
an SACU roadrace licence, the doc asked what I was there for and I said a medical he signed the
form without checking me out, when I asked why he said your hearing is good as you walked in
when I called out your name, your limbs are ok as you opened the door and walked to the desk
and your eyesight is ok as you didnt fall over anything. Still charge me about a tenner....
