Bill Cooper WEC Suzuki 750

Unread post by jamesbdk »

Hi, I have a suzuki GT750 engined sidecar that was aparently made by bill cooper, early 70's, I bought it about 25 years ago intending to race it at the time, but have only just got around to it.

Do you know if it is possible to contact Bill, or if there are any pictures? Any info would be much appreciated.

I have found references to Bill Cooper and D B Argent, at the TT circa 1970, but not sure if it is the same one. The WEC reference on the entry is aparently William Edward Cooper.

So I am told Bill made wheels for the sidecars as well.

I also found John Shaw in stickers on the fairing (painted over)

Hi James, did you buy it from a guy in the Midlands by any chance ?? I remember one for sale about the time you must have bought this one, Cooper chassis but the chassis had been enamelled in red !! blue and white fairing.

Just curious
