Pembrey - no results or news??

How was Pembrey for everyone? Who did the winning? Anyone have any major problems?

Pembrey was fantastic, with some cracking weather. The winning was hogged by one crew, congratulations to them and everyone else who was fighting at the front. Sadly some did have problems but hopefully they'll be fixed by Donington/Anglesey. To everyone who didn't attend - you missed a good one!

Hope that's of some help to you

No doubt Ian will do a full report. But give him a chance, he's only just got home!

Jon and Nancy cleaned up with the first places, Colin Lewis and Ian Nickels were riding hard but had one or two grumbling sounds from the engine and I believe Colin wisely withdrew from the racing. Ed and Vics were up there on the Saturday but I think they had probs with the primary drive and then a radiator?
The rest of the mid field consisted of the Gristwood gang/Ben & Boon with David Johnson and Desmond going really well until they too did the motor.
Ben and Boon were riding hard and got some excellent results and it was good to see, especially when they over cooked it going into the far right before the back straight(the one with the kink in it). Fer Christs sake I never did know they names of the corners !! :D
So it was big grins for the Gray/Faulkner team and a really good effort considering Boon has just got married and looked a little drained.....
There were the Roeburys who were flying at the front of the field but as a P4 bike they were in the field on their own
Poor Nick reported a bad case of arm pump due to the chassis mods enabling him to drive harder - bit more exercise required on those forearms Mr Robinson

It has to be said it was an outstanding weekend both weather and racing wise and for those who stopped the Sunday (mainly the Gristwood gang ) - we got absolutely hammered and it was a most excellent evening - blinkin hilarious.
Every so often you have a race meet that is just tops, and this weekend was one them.

Mind you, we only just made it home as the back end of me transit nearly dropped its guts - the noise was so bad I thought the axle was going to drop out. So we've got to get that fixed before Anglesey. Soooo if anybody knows of a good Ford transit for sale I think I'm in the market????

While we were manning the CRMC stand at Stafford Bike Show, one of our visiters informed us that they'd had to red flag a race due to Geese on circuit!! i've had that happen at Mallory Park but never at Pembrey :)
Hey! hang on a minute . . .

Yes, there were geese that stopped play.

We managed 5th, DNF, 2nd, 2nd. The first two finishes were from the back of the grid so I'm very happy. The PACRE engine and chassis mods by D&D have made a huge difference. Thanks fella's!

Our best weekend for Team Gristwood as a whole as well.

Just back in from work to see that my earlier posting caused many people distress. The remark (hence the 2 smiley faces) was supposed to indicate a degree of humour - the trouble with humour on an e-mail - you can't see the eyes or hear the inflection in the voice. The reply I had expected was "thanks Ian, but a little more information would be handy!"

So, if I have offended anyone or seemily belittled their interest in the weekends racing I apologise.

Thanks to Mike for submitting the information required in a far more dignified manner :notworthy:

I will attempt to do a complete "ramble" on the weekend in the near future but once again please accept my heartfelt apologies, as reflected in the eyes and tone of voice, which you'll have to imagine.

Ian I didn't see any need to appologise, thought sidecar riders were made of stronger stuff. Oh by the way, have you finished with the cotton wool and nail varnish? ;)
