HELP! HELP!! HELP!!!

Unread post by sidecar bloke »

Yes, help is required by the English Predators, Mike "the Marauder" Bellaby and Karl "the Cougar" Underwood. This gutsy pair returned this year to the Czech Republic to repeat their success of 2010 and give Jonny Foreigner another good spanking!!

Unfortunately this has come at a cost. The fairly modern Tranny van they had been loaned, to replace Mike's elderly Tranny which was deemed unreliable, has itself broken down, leaving our intrepid duo (and more importantly the trusty Weslake) stuck in the Czech Republic.

With Brands Hatch now just a week away the situation is becoming fraught; so this is where the HELP comes in. Firstly, does anyone know of someone coming back from the Czech this week with room for a Weslake and ancilleries; and secondly, and the boys know this is a bit of an ask, especially with 34 outfits on the grid, does anyone have an outfit they could borrow for the weekend, as Brands is Mike's favourite circuit.

Once again they realise this is a big ask but would be very grateful for any assistance.

Thanks for the post Ian,

'Marauder/cougar' , just for the un-informed, these are some extremely cheesey titles awarded by Dave Gristwood after last years escapades and not some self appointed narratives

Anyway, the end result is that the van is still over there with the bike and all the kit in it and it is to be recovered within the next couple of weeks. We'll be missing Brands but there you go you can't have everything. Thanks to Ronno for the calls and offer of support.

If I get chance I'll try and write a report on the racing in Czech and we did 3 weekends on the trot so that side of it was great fun.

Well done to you & Karl on your fine ride.
Sorry to hear you are not making Brands. Does that mean you won't be there for the social side too?

To be more accurate, I have tried to book into a hotel for the night but they are all full so it looks like we'll have to slum it in the paddock :D ( not really folks we love you all, its just that I can't be bothered to drag the caravan down for one night). So if anybody knows of any hotel rooms available close by please grab and let me know.
Better still, Rob Cameron - can we borrow your BM for the weekend?
