Not sure when but it's Mallory; Terry Vinicombe, Pip Harris, Fritz Scheidegger and Owen Greenwood.

It's come from John Flaxman's collection of news cuttings Jim. I don't know why the crosses are on there. Richard sent it amongst some other stuff:

The Mallory Park event is the International Sidecar Race of the Year sponsored by the Daily mail on April 3rd 1966.
Terry and John led the early laps finally finishing 6th.
Greenwood won from Scheidegger, Pip Harris, Colin Seeley and Chris Vincent.
There were no crosses on the helmets, that has been added to the picture for identification purposes.
The picture at the Esses at Mallory shows Colin Appleyard/V Sherriffs (20) ahead of John Brandon & Cliff Holland (57), John Patrick/K Platt (55), Norman Hanks/H Seeney (12) and Bill Cooper/Dave Glasby (25) in one of the heats of the 1300cc class. A race incidently won by Terry and John on the Kirby BSA
