Ive heard that apart from numbers 1 to 10 everyone has to qualify for their number. So the numbers issued are only for practice. Is this correct ? Great idea.

Everyone will be issued with a race number, which will appear in the programme. The first 10 will leave in that order in the races, but everyone else, while keeping the number, will leave in order of their practice time. Means No 57 could leave 15th or whatever.
This overcomes the problem of slower riders with lower numbers impeding faster riders with higher numbers.
It might be a bit more difficult to keep track of where your team is in the results...BUT... the new online results/information system will link to the transponder info, so actually you will have up to the minute info.
