I was planning on going to the TT launch night at the Villa Marina on 18th April as a foot passenger, (£38 return). Travelling out on the 18th and coming back the day after.
I live in Liverpool, so it should be simple? No, the Steam Packet sailing on the 18th April from Liverpool doesn't arrive at Douglas until 22.00, so not much use there. Okay, no problem I'll travel from Heysham instead and return to Liverpool.....................except the ONLY train that arrives at Heysham Port on 18th April is at 12.57...........the boat to Douglas leaves at 12.00.....brilliant, you couldn't make it up.
