Re: Tripples
Will make 600cc engines cheaper to buy if the use 675cc engines. Only a idea.

Re: Tripples
Why stop at 675cc, may as well get a 1000cc straight away.
I took the shell off my racing snail thinking it would make him faster.
It just made him more sluggish.

Atta boy Keith

It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

Re: Tripples
Acu won't change rules there living in the past,if yamaha go to 675, then it will only leave Honda or Suzuki to choose from, which in turn will push up the price of engines as if the sport isn't expensive enough.think it's about time a club brought in a pre injection race class in !!

Re: Tripples
Yamaha arent replacing their 600. They are trying something different with the 3 cylinder motor.

Re: Tripples
why not let other configeration engines in, twins and triples woudl make it a bit more interesting , ( then stick in aircooled thous in conventional chassis... or has that been done before ?
) it would open things up to development and experiment. or am i being silly

its all just a bit silly

Re: Tripples
Ah, now that sounds like open class racing, what a good idea. (why didn't I think of that?)alliekat wrote:why not let other configeration engines in, twins and triples woudl make it a bit more interesting , ( then stick in aircooled thous in conventional chassis... or has that been done before ?) it would open things up to development and experiment. or am i being silly

Re: Tripples
I like that idea Keith maybe a hayabusa motor in a monocoque chassis, could I turbo it or must we stick to normally aspirated engines? Do you think it will catch on?
Im sure it could be a cheap way to go racing

Please try to keep to the topic and not turn it into another thread that ends the same way, even I'm bored of it now
