[Home Made] Side Car Hornet

Unread post by CharlyRacing »

Hello !

I just registered here because we have been practicing for a little more than 1 year on sidecars.

I started as a passenger on classic side cars, Bush BMW and home made guzzi, rally and F2

Then we decided with my GF to build our own side car, to start as a driver for me, and as a passenger for her

Now, we practice between one and two times a month, in France.

We've been improving the sidecar during one year, and we think about buying an F2 to begin competition.
As we already have a sidecar, an exchange could be possible.

What do you think ?

Charles, don't think about it........DO IT!

There seems to be a good strong group of F2 teams in France and we get to meet some of them once a year at the Isle of Man TT, with one or two making the trip over to the UK for the occasional battle on our tracks. You will only improve your racing skills by competing against people who are faster and more experienced than you. When (if) you start catching the fantastic Estelle Leblond :notworthy: you will know you are going fast ;).

I would imagine you will get lots of help and advice from the other French teams just as would happen over here as all sidecar people are a big family. Even though France and the UK might not get on too well as far as the EU and politics are concerned :twak: , when it comes to racing sidecars we are all (generally) friends together [chug.gif]

There is no point growing old regretting not having done something you really wanted to do [brick.gif]

Good luck and maybe we will see you in the Isle of Man in a couple of years time :trophy:
Proud and honoured to be a member of Team Past It.
