Quickshifter with HRC ECU

Unread post by Whites »

Hi,

My brother is running a Honda CBR 600 RR 2005 with HRC ECU. We are wanting to fit a quickshifter to it but are unsure if the HRC ECU supports the quickshifter. On my sidecar (GSX R-600 with Yoshi), you can just plug a quickshifter into the side stand switch and the Yoshi will control the cutting of the ignition etc.

I have been doing a bit of reading up and some sites say I can plug a quickshifter into the horn connections and the HRC ECU will work this way (although I cannot see any adjustments for kill time etc in the HRC software). Other sites say that the HRC ECU only supports the HRC quickshifter.

What options are there? Power commander ignition module? Quickshifter that incorporates an ignition module (HM?).

Thanks,
Whites

Hi mate.
Give Paul at dynobike in Malton a call. I'm pretty sure he is able to do it with the later hrc ecu, but not sure about that one.
Worth a call.

Cheers. John

Decided to make my own quickshifter. Will see if it works soon.
