I love this conversation and the regularity with which it occurs :-P now that I don't have to deal with them.

A stunning lack of respect for customers combined with inefficient organisation will always bring entertaining results :-D

No TT for me this year...

Couldn't make the ferry booking from last year gel with the demands of the day job (other reason too but that's another story) meaning I'd have to take two full weeks plus parts of another 2. No chance at all of changing it with the Steam Racket. Maybe that's me done for good - have to see if I miss it or not. It's all getting just too difficult...

They really should wear a mask when asking for ferry fees, our trip to the Isle for the Pre TT Classic and practice week in 2017 so far has come to £588 for 3 adults, I child in a short wheel base VW Campervan.

Fritz,,,

Here we go again. Same problem every year. Dont go to the tt. Simple. If people stopped going at all costs, the price would come down. They can get away with awful service because people will continue to sacrifice so much to go. So.............who are the idiots here? People would rather whine on the social media than vote with their feet so steam packet remain uneffected.

I have just booked a crossing from Dover to Calais to travel to Croix in April. Cost with PO ferries £400.00 I have also booked the same vehicle a 7.5t truck and number of passengers to go across to the IOM in May cost £450.00. Compared to crossing 22 miles of Le Manche this seems good value to me.

I can remember a lot of years ago around 95/96 with a 4.5 ton Merc and Caravan costing over £700 to do the TT.

That just proves their prices are now competitive with the rest of the ferry operators.
