GSXR600 K9 Throttle Bodies

Unread post by STEVIEBOY491 »

Morning All,

Regarding the top butterflies of the K9 throttle bodies. Is it better to wire them fully open at 12 to 6 O'clock or remove the spindle and butterflies all together? Did I hear on the grapevine that it is even better to wire them in so they are slightly off from vertical?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

Hi
if the technical regulation of the championship you are doing allow, take everything out and glue the holes.
Check the regulations first, most dont allow it.

Inquiring minds; why would we remove secondary butterflies? Does this apply to 1000 as well 600, other brands?

I am certainly no expert but am led to believe that it allows greater/smoother airflow in to the throttle bodies.

Having looked at the ACU handbook - they can be wire open but not removed for FSRA.
