Val de Vienne - Insurance

Unread post by MikeB »

As the topic heading says...

Has anybody got any experience/knowledge of the best option for insurance because as I understand it from the organiser you have to provide your own?

Plus, does anybody know what the situation is with pit garages? I know its a separate item but the communications is a bit weak and I'm looking for anybody elses experience.

Lastly, any dos/do nots with these practice week? its the 18th to 23rd march.

Thanks

Hi
because it is not a racemeeting, just free riding, your privat sport insurance will cover. Like going on a road with a bike.
Carlo is off till 15th. May be one or two garageplaces left. wait until he is back and contac him.
bye Eckart

For general insurance for racing there's a guy called Simon Farquahar from Properly Protected who I've only heard good things about, he might be able to help you or at least advise if his isn't the ideal thing for VdV.

Well done Steve E,

I spoke with Simon Farquahar at 'Properly Protected' yesterday and he was a very nice chap who sorted out our insurance for Val de Vienne at a very reasonable rate. One happy customer :D

If your looking at anything in terms of track based events that are not actually a race anywhere in Europe or maybe further I'd definitely give him a call.

Cheers
Mike
