Michel JACQUES-JEAN

Unread post by Fanch »

Some of you came in contact with him at the end of the 80's.

Michel JACQUES-JEAN, aka "Jaja", died of disease at 66, on Friday the 14th of December, in an hospital of Brittany.

He and Loïc "Lolo" ANSQUER were the first French sidecar team coming back to the Isle of Man TT in 1985, 25 years after the last French team. And they were Newcomers as Tony, Kenny, …

He came back with Jean-Claude "Rapace" HUET on the chair in 1986 and they finished 19th of the B Race.

The next time was 1996 with Gérard "Gégé" BARBE on the chair of the F2 Baker Honda.

And so on, until 2000.

Through him (because of him ?), a lot of French Sidecar teams came to the isle of Man to race (or to try to) :

Fanck Bajus, Franck Barbier, Bernard Baumier, Eric Bénéteau, Pierre Duval, Pascal Gassmann, Patrick Geffray, Rémy Guignard, Pascal Hachet, Jean-Louis Hergott, Jean-Claude Huet, Jean-Claude Kestler, Thierry Laforest, Estelle Leblond, François Leblond, Paul Léglise, Frank Lélias, Lionel Mansuy, Gérard Mercier, Philippe Moch, Claude Montagnier, Didier Siro as drivers

Delphine Alzina, Loïc Ansquer, Gérard Barbe, Thomas Bordier, Olivier Chabloz, Hervé Chenu, Marlène Couillard, Goulven Crochemore, Christophe Darras, Emmanuel Debroise, Nicolas Duhamel, Maryse Duval, Mélanie Farnier, Francky Fouet, René Geffray, Jean-Claude Huet, Jonathan Huet, Guillaume Jamet, Sébastien Lavorel, François Leblond, Sylvie Leblond, Frank Lélias, Freddy Lelubez, Yann Mairot, Jacques Marchand, Françoise Mercier, Gérald Midrouet, Yannick Naboulet, Emmanuel Nicolas, Bruno Picquoin, Christophe Pottier, Frédérique Poux, Cyril Roussel, Laurent Seyeux, Hélène Siro, Jérôme Vannier, Maxime Vasseur, Christophe Vergne as passengers.
