Here are some photographs of the Konig sidecar outfit we are currently having built, the frame has been constructed by Rod Bellas, and we are doing the rest:

The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight.

But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upwards in the night.

Obviously I am a bit biased but I think that looks superb, a proper racing sidecar! If you can get a Konig engine reliable, what better layout could you have?
Tim, you need to take a photo with somebody standing alongside it, to show how low and small it really is.
So how long have I had these voices in my head, I hear you ask?

IIRC was not the main reliabilty problem with the toothed drive belt for the rotary disc valve being somewhat fragile should a stone or other track debris be thrown into drive :?: If so then, surely, a simple engineering solution of a protective mesh cage would solve the problem?

If not the case then ignore the ramblings of an idiot, albeit a well practised one ...
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

Yep, that was the main problem we had. Tony Wakefield actually ran reed valves on the 750cc Magnum.

Isn't the rubber band type arrangement that drives the water pump etc a little delicate too?
Winning isn't everything....but wanting to win is.
