MRE BMW Rolling Chassis

Unread post by Eddy Wright »

A very little used MRE rolling chassis approximately 3yrs old.

This Chassis is a complete rolling unit, fitted with Fairing, Wheel arch, seat, floor, clocks, brake system, tyres ect. Tyres are good and almost like new. All the Chassis requires is the engine and gearbox fitting which is supplied with the bike.

The Engine is a gem just had a full rebuild at Bennett BMW. Dry sump, fast Cam, Racing clutch, High compression Moorespeed slipper pistons, Del Orto race carbs, and Pazon electronic ignition. The gearbox is sound and a five speed unit.

Two exhausts are supplied with the bike one stainless 2 into 1 system. The other is twin pipe megaphone style system. There is also a spare set of cylinder heads and a bottom end which is in need of attention. Plus a few other bits I will include with it.

It's a lovely bike which will make a superb Outfit when assembled with a minimum value of £15k I dont have time to finish this bike which I took in part exchange against my Bellas Imp.

So I'm offering it at the reasonable price of £9950. Tel me on 07785 977722. Can be viewed at my Classic bike shop in Shipley. BD17 7BP

The handle bars / fuel tank and many other parts were not made or put on by me. Chassis was bought as a chassis kit by Stuart Applegate and he made many of the parts and fitted them.

Hi Mike, I know Stuart changed the bars to suit his stature, but all the rest appears to be original MRE. Perhaps you would be kind enough to enlighten us.

Stuart Applegate says he would be happy to discuss the bikes history with anyone interested. Stuart bought it new, as Mike says in kit form. He went on to do the parade lap on at the TT. I think he also took it to Quoix (Croix? - SE). I have Stuarts tel number if any interested parties wish to speak to him please contact me for his number. Ianw I will post some pics with the glass off soon.
