CBR Ignition for 2-Stroke

has anybody tried to use 4-Stroke electronic ignition (with a wasted spark) on a twin cyl 2-Stroke I know it,s a stupid question to ask got loads of Honda 600 ignitions thought I'd try it on a T500 twin cheers

Hi Andy,there is no doubt that the Honda CBR ignition system would work on your Suzuki T500. The problem would be in reprograming the ignitor box, the Honda has a full advance curve, but the two stroke would at the least need a static setting, or preferably a slight advance with a steady retard as it approaches high RPM. Without this a seizure or a holed piston would be very likely, hope this helps. Hope you and Tony are both well, who is riding the new bike , you or Tony ?
