The first round of this year’s F.S.R.A. / Wintec Racing Pre-Injection Sidecar Championship blasts off this coming Saturday at Cheshire’s 2.6-mile Oulton Park circuit. Unfortunately, due to Covid regulations, there is no spectator access – just teams and pit crew are being admitted.

Rob Fisher / Rick Long have had numerous victories over the years at Oulton Park, and will certainly be one of the teams to chase in the F2 class, and maybe overall. However, stern opposition may well come from the larger capacity F1 outfits of Joe Heys and the 2018 P.I. Champion John Shipley, both of whom will be eager to be first to the chequered flag.

Another potential winner may be Simon Horton – who is the manager of the new series sponsor Wintec, who already provides support and assistance for many of the P.I. Teams.

After a forced break of a year, it is great to see so many of the registered teams of all abilities from old hands to novices in this present climate who have made the effort to get themselves sorted for this first round.

Thank you to the Wirral 100 club who have supported our Pre-Injection championship from its beginnings in 2014.
