Darley Moor

STATEMENT BY THE CLUB CHAIRMAN  – 30th January 2026

Darley Motor Motor Cycle Road Racing Club Ltd has operated Darley Moor Sports Centre under a lease from the lanlords since it was formed. After 61 years the present landlords have decided to put the site on the market. The Club would like to explain that this decision will not affect the activities of the Club. The Club wish to confirm that Darley Moor Motor Cycle Road Racing Club, Darley Moor Sports Centre and The Chequered Flag Cafe will continue to operate for the foreseeable future as normal under the terms of the current lease.
We will issue a further statement as more information becomes available.

Come to the Greg Lambert Racing sidecar school here at Middlesbrough. We’ll take you through all aspects of how to drive and/or passenger a sidecar!

Each session is tailored towards what you want to achieve. If you want to just experience the thrill of a go at driving or passengering then we can do that. And we can also give you full instruction so you can become a race ready driver and passenger.

Come for a single day or a double! Double days can be very beneficial as you’re able to build upon day 1 into day 2 and enhance your learning.

First race weekend of the year and after arriving at the circuit we get the bike out and go and sign on ready for Friday practice . It’s first time out for Kiera Miller and as we head out onto the circuit find she’s not comfortable and let’s me know and come back in . After  quick chat ad realise that the boots she’s wearing are ex Ken Williams a quick trip see Andy peach a pair of decent boots and a bit of advice from Carol Mcbride we head out for second pratice. Unfortunately Kieras having issues again and due to various incidents on track no more track time .

Bourne Photos will be at Cadwell Park with Bemsee this weekend and at the Sidecar Revival in August.

Bourne Photo will be attending both the BEMSEE event at Cadwell this weekend (including Friday for paddock, Saturday and Sunday track shots) and will also be shooting at the Sidecar Revival next month as one of the official photographers for the club. 

Bourne Photo will be posting images on the website here (link updated 29th June)

and will offer single shots at £5 or a weekend deal for £40 for all shots of each individual outfit.

BEMSEE BULLETIN 24-04-23

This is an important Bulletin for all competitors who intend to race with BMCRC now or in the future. Please ensure you read and understand it.

From Round 3 of the 2023 BMCRC/MRO Championships at Snetterton 300, we will be introducing a new flag protocol to further improve safety after an incident occurs. Marshals may now display 2 yellow flags, simultaneously waved at a flag post.

Hi all, just to let you know I’m back in circulation. Having been out of action for a few years with prostrate cancer and a serious road accident I thought I would let you all know I’m back in the sidecar world.

As before I can offer a high level wiring harness design and build service, including advice and suppling MoTeC devices, sensors etc.
We combine this with our renowned commissioning and support of MoTeC systems.

I thought I would start with seeing if there is any interest in people, drivers, passengers, wives, girlfriends, mechanics, anybody attending one of my MoTeC training courses.

They would be run along very similar lines to the previous ones, 2 days of a weekend, with the 1st day on engine ECU’s & dashboards and the 2nd looking at data logging.

Thinking of trying to get something organised before the TT if possible, let me know on steve@gwrmotorsport.com, thanks Steve

Bemsee Snetterton Discount

We are announcing a special discount for Snetterton entries today….

The discount is funded by the friends and family of George Paget, from his estate. George sadly passed last October, aged 80 and was a keen follower of motorsport especially at his local Snetterton. In particular, he had a soft-spot for Sidecars, so the plan, in his memory, is to offer all Sidecar entrants to the Snetterton May meeting a discount off the entry fee.
