Brands Hatch 13/14/15 March


First race weekend of the year and after arriving at the circuit we get the bike out and go and sign on ready for Friday practice . It’s first time out for Kiera Miller and as we head out onto the circuit find she’s not comfortable and let’s me know and come back in . After  quick chat ad realise that the boots she’s wearing are ex Ken Williams a quick trip see Andy peach a pair of decent boots and a bit of advice from Carol Mcbride we head out for second pratice. Unfortunately Kieras having issues again and due to various incidents on track no more track time .


Saturday and a decision is made that its probably best to get another passenger and thanks to Andy Peach again we get Scott Edwards on . No issues and manage to get a 1.03 as something to work on . Still like a fanny on left handers and tyres are giving us not a lot of grip to say the least .


RACE 1 We have an issue with the clutch which puts us out of the rest of the day confident we fixed it .


Race 3 Sunday  . Not a bad start and getting better every time around. Bike is running fantastic and even with the   old tyres we go 4 seconds faster finish 11th with a best lap of 59.5. Still having left hander problems but that’s just me .

RACE 4 . We head out and decide to ride around concentrate on what gear I’m in  and smoothing things out .A borrowed back wheel with a decent tyre makes the bike drive so much better and after a good start we just enjoy and bring it home in 12th and surprised with only being half a second off our fastest lap of the previous race and a second slower than the race time

Plenty to work on . First we need a set of tyres that’s the first job and find a passenger . Not sure when we are out next but have come away from Brands reasonably happy
