from Barry Nutley
Against a difficult and ever-changing backdrop, and a determination not to allow the COVID-19 pandemic to emerge the winner in 2020, a last-minute deal has given a lifeline to a meaningful and exciting International event to round off the season in style.
A concerted effort between the RKB-F1 Motorsport/Santander Salt, MSVR and a major German commercial partner, has resulted in a two-round, four-race International Sidecar Superprix to run in Germany and the UK.

An article from Andrew ‘Angus’ Brooke
MoTeC is a fairly expensive bit of kit, so do your research in what you are buying. I will be telling you rough prices of new kit, and things to keep eye out for with second hand.
THIS IS NOT A SALES PITCH, instead I want to inform. I have no issues with other systems, or second hand kit, but sometimes deals aren’t as good as they appear.

2020 season cancelled due to COVID-19 pressures
It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of regret that in conjunction with the FIM, the decision has been taken to abort the planned five-round series for the current year.
Despite all our best efforts early in the year negotiating dates and facilitating an on-line entry system, the ever-changing situation between countries, and the various lock-down measures implemented as a result, destroyed any confidence teams and organisers had that travel would be possible, or even predictable.

From the FIM (thought I should include both releases, this and RKB)
After several attempts to reorganise the 2020 calendar and careful discussions regarding the difficulties caused by the Coronavirus disease (#COVID19) pandemic at the organisational level, the FIM, the promoter RKB-F1/Santander Salt Ltd, the national federations of Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Great Britain, Portugal and the local organisers have been forced to cancel the 2020 FIM Sidecar World Championship.

2020 ANNOUNCEMENT
We’ve made the decision to remove our entry from the World Championship and continue with the remainder of the British Championship.

Not an easy decision to make but it had to be made.
Next weekend we go to Snetterton for Round 2 with BSB, another circuit we’ve not raced at for a few years, looking forward to getting stuck in!

Nothing is normal right now, but we are all determined that life will be as close to normal as we can possibly make it.

from Barry Nutley
Whilst the Coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc across sport, there are significant stirrings in the world of motorcycle racing. MotoGP and organisers have published a plan to go racing from July, and MSVR, the promoters of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship are busily putting together a revised schedule which will deliver a meaningful series in 2020. The Molson Group British Sidecars are inextricably linked with BSB and we eagerly await those announcements to get our own season back on track.
