Update 11:01. Newcomers went out for speed controlled lap and the rest of the day now cancelled
Maria Costello MBE will make her 17th appearance at the Isle of Man TT Races later this year and her 37th start on both two and three wheels.
The Northamptonshire rider will contest both Metzeler/Entire Cover insurance Supertwin TT races on a Galgorm Resort branded VRS Racing Kawasaki Z650 and will again line up in the two 3wheeling.Media Sidecar TT races onboard her own Galgorm LCR Honda F2.
Costello, now in her 30th year of motorcycle racing, will be joined by Alice Smith, the 20-year-old set to tackle the 37 and ¾-mile Mountain Course for the very first time and the pairing have been building up to this, their biggest challenge on three wheels, since they started racing together in 2023.
I know it’s a long shot with only 6 weeks to go, but I’m looking for TT ride if possible. Also available for the rest of the season, southern 100 and Scarborough as well as any British meetings.

Sadly, despite the widespread encouragement the Club received after it reversed its earlier decision to suspend racing activities for 2025 and to go ahead with the above exploratory race weekend, there are insufficient entries to enable this test day and race meeting to go ahead.
Despite the huge amount of administrative work carried out by Club officials and our friends at NG Racing over recent weeks, supported by the Anglesey Circuit, the marshals, and the medics, it is apparent that there are nowhere near enough riders able or willing to help us make the meeting a viable proposition.
With a little more than two weeks to go, only 24 riders have paid their entry fees, and whilst another 40 or so have indicated they wish to compete, the total number of likely entries will still be totally inadequate to avoid the Club incurring another substantial financial deficit, similar to those that were suffered in 2024.
Hence, this decision to cancel the meeting.
ENTRY FEE REFUNDS – the Club will now promptly reimburse all entry fees (including garage & transponder fees) received for this meeting. Riders should therefore email the Club treasurer davidfrancis_is@yahoo.co.uk with the relevant bank details – account name, sort code & account number.
The Club’s committee will now spend time reconsidering its plans, membership fees, etc and advise its members in due course.
