From Steve Kershaw. https://gofund.me/ad396167
Hi Folks, Ryan Charlwood has started a gofundme page for our good friend and much loved sidecar passenger Shelley.
Shell suffered very serious injuries in a testing accident at VDV in France and is still currently in hospital in France.
The funds are to help Shelley with the cost of returning to Britain as recovery is going to be a very long process.
Come on Shelley 💪💪🤞🤞you can do it! Love from all team Kershaw #29 xxx

Four-time champions Pete Founds / Jevan Walmsley (LCR Honda) took a fine brace of wins in the opening round of this year’s British F2 Sidecar Championship at Brands Hatch – but were made to work particularly hard in race two as they had an enthralling tussle with reigning title holders Lee Crawford / Scott Hardie (LCR Suzuki). A new season begins for the A.C.U. / F.S.R.A. British F2 Sidecar Championship at Brands Hatch with N.G.R.R.C. over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th April. Last year, this same event was dominated by Lee Crawford / Scott Hardie (LCR Suzuki), who took pole position and two convincing wins. The Team A.R.C. pairing went on to take a total of nine wins, and a further three podium places from thirteen starts, landing the prestigious title by 114 points.

The long wait for race action did not disappoint in France. The weather was perfect for the two races, and all the top teams completed qualifying successfully with one exception. The first session times were very close, with just eight tenths of one second splitting the top five. Previous new lap record holders Ted and Vincent Peugeot had their eyes opened with the pace, as they ended up sixth fastest behind Tim Reeves/Kevin Rousseau. A brilliant effort by Harry Payne/Mark Wilkes found them top of the pile just over one tenth quicker than Todd Ellis and Emmanuelle Clement. Reigning Champions Schlosser/Fries came next ahead of Steve Kershaw/Ryan Charlwood.

Suddenly the new FIM Sidecar World Championship is almost here with the opening round scheduled over the weekend of 14-16 April in Le Mans.
2021 saw an exceptionally close five-way battle, possibly the tightest for years. All bets are off for 2022 because those hungry young guns are back, whilst the old guard, including the reigning and former champions, are all determined to retain or reclaim the title.
