The way time is running, we will be into full swing with racing action before we know it.
Our season kicks off at Oulton Park, with Knockhill and Brands Hatch the next up.
It is then off to Cadwell Park for the excitement and spectacle of the Sidecar Revival Festival. The early August date is guaranteed to appeal to all sidecar fans, who have demonstrated in previous years how much they welcome the variety of outfits and personalities on show.
With all eyes on a full Molson Group British Championship in 2022, it’s important to note the fourth round will be at the popular and now well-established Cadwell Park Sidecar Revival.
This event has become a favourite with teams and spectators alike, and with restrictions imposed by two years of pandemic now easing, the entry is expected to be bigger than ever.
Any Championship trophy winners, you will have been sent an email directing you to the ticket ordering online page. Can you get on with booking that please as we are putting the tickets on general release from this Friday and I really need to get you guys on a table. If any of you can’t come please let me know by email and if there anyone who can collect your trophy for you.
We have a range of BSB Teams looking to enter and will offer slots to Club riders before them. That does mean you need to get your entries in soon please. We will cut-off on that after this weekend and then release available slots to BSB Teams waiting to get in at that point. Remember you can still book with Bemsee and withdraw upto a week before the event with no cost penalty.

RKB-F1 Motorsport in conjunction with MSV is in the advanced planning stages of a two-day open test programme exclusively for sidecars. Circuits under consideration will be Snetterton or Donington, and the timing is likely to be mid-April, possibly during the week immediately after Easter.
Cost will be £200.00 per day one twenty-minute session each hour between 9am and 5pm.
In order to assess interest and viability, all sidecar teams, whether they be British Championship, Club level, F1, F2 or Classic, are invited to respond and participate.
Maria Costello MBE made her return to racing after a year out of action and claimed a new personal best competing on her LCR Sidecar at the BMCRC-MRO Championships at Donington Park at the weekend.
The Northamptonshire racer’s entire schedule of road racing was scrapped this year because of the Covid19 crisis that shut down much of the country.
Maria could finally make her return to short-circuit sidecar racing thanks predominantly to new sponsor RAM Safety Solutions Ltd and continued support from NGK Spark Plugs UK Ltd, Mark Coverdale and MJW Specialists.
MoTeC is a fairly expensive bit of kit, so do your research in what you are buying. I will be telling you rough prices of new kit, and things to keep eye out for with second hand.
THIS IS NOT A SALES PITCH, instead I want to inform. I have no issues with other systems, or second hand kit, but sometimes deals aren’t as good as they appear.
The Cadwell Park circuit hosted a Bemsee Club meeting with the opening British F1 Sidecar round as a central feature. Friday was an open test day, and everyone took advantage of the opportunity to get back in the groove.
When crews arrive at Cadwell Park for the opening round of the 2020 season, there will be a new face responsible for all Sidecar Paddock disciplines and behaviour.
Gary Bryan
The vastly experienced Gary Bryan has enjoyed a long sidecar association, with Isle of Man TT success to his name, as well as F1 and F2 Championship honours.
Stepping back from active short-circuit competition to care-take and manage his stepson Todd Ellis, Gary has accepted the role of Paddock Manager for Roger Body’s RKB-F1 organisation. This wealth of experience, combined with Gary’s “no-nonsense” manner, will be ideally suited to the many challenges facing him on every race weekend
The role has been officially recognised by MSVR with whom he will be working closely on BSB weekends, ensuring the Sidecar fraternity maintains its high standards.
All crews are therefore reminded that Gary is working on behalf of them and the sidecar family in general to maximise and maintain the good reputation we have earned over many seasons.
We all wish Gary all the best in this new venture and give him our total support.
